I ♥ SF – the perfect morning

If I had only one morning to spend in this amazing city brimming with all things art, culture and lifestyle, I would pick the Ferry Building Marketplace & adjacent Ferry Plaza Farmer’s Market in a heartbeat. The Farmer’s Market has long been regarded as one of the country’s best, frequented by both locals and top chefs, and offers a variety of fresh farm produce, artisan specialties and an array of delicious prepared foods. Although it only operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-2pm and on Saturdays from 8am-2pm, there is still plenty to see (and eat!) at the Ferry Building Marketplace itself, open 7 days a week from 10am daily. Mission District, SF – Valencia St and beyond

No trip to SF is complete without a visit to the vibrant and colourful Mission District, thanks to the dramatic backdrop of some 200-plus wall murals in the neighbourhood. Prepare to spend an entire day strolling along the very bohemian Valencia St, and you will be sufficiently entertained with dozens of cute, one-of-a-kind stores selling vintage collectibles, clothing, restored furniture, records and books, to name a few. When you’re ready for your next caffeine fix, duck into some of the most loved coffee joints in SF to re-charge. Oh, and if you’re hungry, the Mission is also home to some of the hottest restaurants – if only getting that coveted opentable dinner reservation was that easy. Continue reading
